A PAEDO who physically assaulted, starved, and fed soap to children was discovered dead in jail along with his partner. The starving children were coerced by Cheryl Pickles, 35, and Andrew Hadwin, 39, to rummage through grocery store containers for food.
They also made the kids take baths and showers in water that was scalding hot and locked them in cabinets. According to Mail Online, Hadwin was recently discovered dead at HMP Durham as he was awaiting sentencing.
According to the Ministry of Justice, Andrew Hadwin, an inmate in HMP Durham, passed away on February 2. “The Prisons and Probation Ombudsman will conduct an investigation, as with all fatalities in detention.”
Hadwin was exonerated of any sexual activity with a kid last month but was found guilty of three counts of rape, seven acts of maltreatment, and one count of perverting the course of justice. The non-recent abuse of another kid, which occurred when she was a little child, is connected to the rape.
Five counts of child abuse and one count of tampering with the process of justice were found against his partner Pickles. She was cleared of engaging in sexual conduct with a minor.
On April 28, the terrible couple was scheduled to be sentenced. Teesside Crown Court heard testimony about how the parents severely malnourished the kids, forcing them to trek four miles to forage from trash cans.
During a horrifying campaign of torture, one terrified boy was kept over a bridge over a highway. Additionally, Hadwin and Pickles made the kids stand in stressful positions and watch as they consumed takeout in front of them.
They forced the kids to take blistering hot baths and showers while submerging their heads in the water. The children endured horrific injuries as a result of the heinous maltreatment, with one child having permanent damage.
When one of the courageous children alerted an adult to the horrifying atrocities in 2018, the crimes finally came to an end.
