James (born December 18, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois) is a professional poker player and television pundit from the United States who now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. James has won more over $3,500,000 in live tournaments to date. He has finished in the money 21 times in the World Series of Poker, accounting for almost half of his total tournament winnings, which total nearly $500,000, from the WSOP. Kenna has made 74 appearances at the final table and has 15 overall victories. He has made two final table appearances at the World Series of Poker, finishing fourth in the $2,500 no limit Texas hold’em event in 2003 and sixth in the $1500 Razz tournament in 2008, among other achievements. James was the only player to win two events during the inaugural season of the Ultimate Poker Challenge, and he also acted as the show’s Co-Host, with Chad Brown, for the season’s premiere. He also worked as a commentator for Matchroom Sports, where he co-hosted the WPT Canada with Jim Van Horn and co-hosted The Premiere Poker League with Jesse May in London, England. At the World Poker Tour Legends of Poker $5,000 No Limit hold ’em event in August 2005, James finished in second place behind Alex Kahaner and took home $588,210 in prize money. In March 2006, James finished second to Mike Schneider in the $10,000 buy-in Limit Hold’em tournament of the fifth annual PartyPoker Million Cruise, which took place in Las Vegas. For this victory, James was awarded $700,000 in prize money.

His most significant tournament win occurred in February 2006 at the LA Poker Classic, when he defeated Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi heads-up and took home $242,251 in first-place prize money. Many charities and organisations have benefited from James’ efforts, including the Make A Wish Foundation, the Ante Up for Autism Foundation, Hold-em for Heroes, the Fallen Officers Foundation, Arizona Baseball Charities, the Screaming Eagle Poker League, and the Wounded Warrior Project. He has organised a number of charity poker tournaments. An event he planned and presented in 2006 to benefit the Wounded Warriors Organization earned $170,000 for the cause.
